The all original panels line up flawlessly and the car rides better than new with more power. Some History on the Delray… The 1955 Chevrolet Delray was part of Chevrolet's lineup during a transformative period for American automobiles. It was introduced as a special trim level for the Chevrolet 210 series, a mid-range model that sat between the base 150 series and the more luxurious Bel Air. The Delray was noted for its distinctive interior features. While the exterior resembled other 210 models, its standout feature was the two-tone interior, which included a textured vinyl upholstery designed for durability and style. This interior treatment made the Delray more visually striking compared to its counterparts. The 1955 Delray was part of the iconic "Tri-Five" Chevrolet era (1955-1957), which saw a major redesign for Chevrolet. The 1955 model was the first year of this redesign, marked by a modern, sleeker body with more pronounced tailfins and a lower, wider stance. It became a symbol of the postwar American car boom and is considered a classic today.
